Would purple eyeliner + gold eyeshadow on green/hazel eyes be tacky?

What shades should I use to make it look normal %26amp; as less ';fake'; as possible? My skin color is beige?Would purple eyeliner + gold eyeshadow on green/hazel eyes be tacky?
That color combination is definitely nighttime wear. Either by themselves though are wonderful. Be careful with gold though, if you have yellow in your skin as your undertone, your skin is ';cool';, redish tints are considered ';warm.'; Gold on cool undertones actually brings out all of the discoloration under the eye. You will notice blues, purples, reds, and maybe even green! If you have a cool undertone, go with silver as this will not draw out any discoloration. =) I unfortunately have that problem and cannot wear a lot of gold eyeshadow. I tend to use it as a highlighter instead of an actual eye shadow. Try purple matted eye liners like plum and go with a pink or light purple shimmery eye shadow. It will do wonders and not look tacky. Not that your idea was tacky, but its night time wear, you dont want to come off trashy or fake. It would absolutely NOT look tacky - it would make your eyes pop. Purple and green contrast, and gold makes everything around it look brighter. If anything your eyes will look BAM!!! green.
Im not really feeling it myself but hey go for it.
i agree it would look nice, mardi gras colors too!!
