when i wear green eyeshadow i use either gold or brown on the lid, and then a deep green in the crease such as Humid from MAC. for blush try using a bronzer, and using a very neutral lipstick or lip gloss this will draw more attention to your eyes. How do you wear Green eyeshadow?
if you're gonna wear green eyeshadow (and still trying to make it look pretty and not trampy) i say taht you should blend it with another color if you're using a darker shade of green. but if you're using a light green, line your your top and bottom lids with a charcoal or brown. black is too harsh to use with green unless you're one of those girls who can pull ANYTHING off. (i know im not) if you want the focus to be on your eyes, use natural looking makeup on the rest of your face. try to use foundation that's closest to your natural skin tone and a rosy blush, this will really make you glow. and light pink or rosy pink lipgloss, lipstick, lipstain, or chapstick.
if you follow any of this, you'll definitely look pretty, not trampy[:

but always remember when wearing more the one shadow or a bright shadow you don't want harsh lines,

When I wear Green eyeshadow I blend it will a Gold. It looks so pretty and not so out there like green eyeshadow does alone.

Being a cosmetic freak i can tell you what i think! Well, i think that purple (dark and shimmery) with an apple colored eyeshadow would make your green eyes look very defined! It would blend in a way that made you look like a person in the fashion industry! i really like the idea of using the purple and green shadows (with preferable colors) to match your green eyes, and the eyeshadow will DEFINITELY bring out more green and make you look more intelligent makeup wise!

Just looking for some sound advice.
I am going to a wedding next weekend (27/04) I am wearing a dress with yelow and green flowers, I decided to wear green eye shadow, I bought No.7 Eden colour pallet but I cant seem to get the application just right.
I want it to look good, a bit smokey, not too in our face thought. I've got hazel eyes and pale skin but I will be getting a fake tan applied before the wedding, my eyes are wide. Please I need some help I normally stick to my safe browns but wanted to make a statement, just not the wrong statement.

Well, considering you are light skin and with hazel eyes...one way to pop your eyes is just wet the green eyeshadow just a bit...use a tip of a q-tip (earbud) to apply it as an eye liner on the bottom lid...
That will really make your eyes pop...another way is to put the green eyeshadow on the lower 1/2 of your eyelid but not make it dark...the key is to apply and if needed spread it light with your fingers and on the top half...use cream/ gold/ shimmer eye shadow and blend it into the green....it will make your eyes look bigger due to the lighter shadow near your brow area but also make it look simple and classy...The perfect way to do green eyeshadow for a wedding?

You eyes would then stand out with the deep green crease but not look like a hick!!
hi sweetheart i suppose if you wanna give a smoky effect than do not use much of green shaddow and on the edges i would ask you to use a tint of black shaddow..... black is genuinely used for smoky effect tell if it works. bye
well wear the same applicatoin as you would with brown. just wear brown eye liner. smudge that, then put brown in the crease, blendingDOWN to the lid. then take the green and sweep that on the out side in over the lid. finally put white on the brow bone nd tear duct

Gloss up your lips, Primp your hair, and Your set!

I recommend that you figure out which famous person has the most similiar coloring as you do and then look for photos of them all glammed up. Google is great! Just see what different types / shades / colors of make up they wear and how you like it.

Then use a matching shade of long-wearing lipstick. Once the lipstick is set, put on a clear gloss. Now you don't have to worry about color kissing off on your date, your water glass, or anything else and touch ups can be done with only the gloss.
By all means, experiment before the big night so you have a look you love and you can look confident wearing!

Depending on your skin color and tone, a nice sheer peach would probably look very nice. Typical rule of thumb is, if you play your eyes up then play your lips down and vice versa to even out the look.

My advice would be to go to your local discount department store (such as Wal-Mart or Target) and browse the makeup aisle. Go with the cheapest brand you can find.

I don't think it matters what color lipstick/lipgloss you wear. I would prefer lipgloss since it's what's everyone is wearing these days. And lipgloss that has just a little color is the best, a nude color. The green eyeshadow is unnecessary unless you are wearing something green. Even if you were, I think you should stick to the smokey eye look and the warm colors like brown.

I don't think it matters what color lipstick/lipgloss you wear. I would prefer lipgloss since it's what's everyone is wearing these days. And lipgloss that has just a little color is the best, a nude color. The green eyeshadow is unnecessary unless you are wearing something green. Even if you were, I think you should stick to the smokey eye look and the warm colors like brown.

*Finish with several coats of volumizing mascara

Having dark skin is very versatile for pulling off different eye shadows. I really like bright, sparkly purples and pinks, but oranges and golds work as well. Try using Victoria Secret Beauty Rush's ';Gold School'; eyeshadow. I think it would suit your skin colour quite nicely. :)

IF ITS FOR DAY :
first put dark pink on the lid of your eyes and above it (not on it) put a little of light pink shade.
IF ITS FOR NIGHT:
then do that same as the day one but add little white shade under the eyebrows. then put a very dark shade of purple eyeshadow as a line just around the up side of eye lid. then put some golden sparkles for a great ending. Don't forget the mascara( prefered to be black).

A light shimmery gold. Coming from a girl with fair skin, you don't want to overdo the eyeshadow. Enhance your eyes with a little dark purple eyeliner, and a sweep of gold shadow. Then some striking mascara to make your blues pop.
i love bronze eyeshodow and i think it works wonders on eyes not making the fact that you have worn eyeshadow VERY noticable yet gives a kinda of shimmer to your eyes. Plus bronze would do well with the gold work
Lilac eyeshadow.
use purples and whites. Use a dark puruple eyeshadow to out line your eyes like an eye liner. then work your way up your eye lid using different shades of purple and whites (dark to light ). So in the end the top of your eyelid should be like a shimmer white.
Definately wear gold eyeshadow. It will bring out the gold in your dress and the blue in your eyes (I also have blue eyes and gold does wonders!). But don't add any purple. It will be obvious that you're trying to colour co-ordinate your make-up with your outfit which is trashy. Use black eyeliner on your top lid only. first put dark pink on the lid of your eyes and above it (not on it) put a little of light pink shade.

then do that same as the day one but add little white shade under the eyebrows. then put a very dark shade of purple eyeshadow as a line just around the up side of eye lid. then put some golden sparkles for a great ending. Don't forget the mascara( prefered to be black).

Use either a black or very dark blue eyeliner, whatever you prefer, on both the upper and lower inside lashline. Then curl your eyelashes and use mascara. Use a light pick lipstick or gloss (or lipstick with gloss over it). You could do a mauve color too; again, do whatever you like better. Then, use a peachy/pick color on the cheeks (it will be pretty and not too overpowering). Your makeup will look really pretty and not too over the top at the same time. I agree with L the girl above me....its very tacky to wear your eyeshadow the same color as your clothing...so leaave the blue eyeshadow alone...a little gold shimmer is cute...dont do alot of makeup b/c you will sweat,do some blush and a soft pink gloss

Try a copper coloured eyeshadow, swept over the entire lid, and wing it out slightly to the sides. Line your inner lids with a dark green pencil, Rimmel has great green pencils. Then under your eye, put a thin line of gold powder, almost like an eyeliner. This will give you a very sophisticated, classy look thats still flirty and fun.
As for your hair, put most of it up, and leave a few tendrils in the front to frame your face, and try putting it up with a gold clip.
Keep your accesories simple, a ring, a necklace, and thats all you need.

I have the same coloured skin, but with more orange undertones. Greens look really good on darkish skin. So, I would use three colours (just wait, lol). A dark brown, a darkish green, and a gold. Start with the dark brown at the end of the eye, just blending it, and kind of line the bottom of the eye to the tip. Then get the green and blend it into the brown and keep it in the middle. and the gold would be for the tip of the eye, where the pink bit is, next to the nose, close your eye and just put some gold, blending it into the green. If you do it well, it'll look like you used natural tones, and just added some gold at the edge. It'll look really pretty, I tend to mix gold and black for my neutral colours.

What I would do is apply a light brown (but not too light) on the actual lid, but below the brow to the lid, I would do a light, faintly shimmering gold, to match the gold in your dress. Then don't do eyeliner because sometimes it will look really bad with those colors, it all depends where you apply it, instead do two or three coats of mascara to really make your beautiful eyes pop. Why not a coppery-red color? It would incorporate the colors in your hair as well as bring a little Christmassy feeling to the green in your dress.

Try a copper coloured eyeshadow, swept over the entire lid, and wing it out slightly to the sides. Line your inner lids with a dark green pencil, Rimmel has great green pencils. Then under your eye, put a thin line of gold powder, almost like an eyeliner. This will give you a very sophisticated, classy look thats still flirty and fun.
As for your hair, put most of it up, and leave a few tendrils in the front to frame your face, and try putting it up with a gold clip.
Keep your accesories simple, a ring, a necklace, and thats all you need.

you should never NEVER where eyeshadow to match what you are wearing. Thats a RULE . you will end up looking cheap and tacky and a little stupid . Go by your skin tone .
I think a nice dark smokey color or a nice golden brown eye shadow to a milky white high light would look cute . And always wear a nice amount of mascara . You have dark hair so a little bit of eyeliner and mascara looks fabulous on you !! And a nice light , glossy peachy pink lip gloss would look cute too. But its really hard to choose when we dont have a pic. of you .

Start in the middle of your lash line and finish in the outer corner. You can make the line wider as it gets to the outer corner for a more dramatic look. Wear black mascara on top and bottom lashes.

I would do browns for the eyelid, with a very sheer gold to highlight the brow bone and to put right on the inside corner of the eye near the tear duct. Use either a black or very dark blue eyeliner, whatever you prefer, on both the upper and lower inside lashline. Then curl your eyelashes and use mascara. Use a light pick lipstick or gloss (or lipstick with gloss over it). You could do a mauve color too; again, do whatever you like better. Then, use a peachy/pick color on the cheeks (it will be pretty and not too overpowering). Your makeup will look really pretty and not too over the top at the same time. I do that too! It makes your eyes look really blue. I use Estee Lauder ';Gold Nugget'; I know it's kinda expensive (17.50), but it stays on throughout the day and doesn't crease or change color. It's totally worth the money.

Oh yes that is the right color for you! I am serious bronze colors, more gold colors make blue in eyes POP out! Kind of like plums and lilacs look beautiful on green eyes. So hmm your asking for drugstore so I would like HIP Loreal would carry some. Make sure its shimmery!!! But I know for sure that Sephora carries Bare Minerals eyeshadows they are like $13 but it lasts you forever. And they have every color I have a goldish color. Good luck hope you find it~

Any liquid eyeliner is also too dark and noticeable. A pencil liner, that has been smudged is so much better, even for ';glamorous'; occasions. I think when you can tell you are wearing any makeup, you start looking like a clown. Makeup, again, should enhance your beauty without people realizing you have it on.

I just love gold eyeshadows with a touch of shimmer or glitter! I don't know your complexion, (but I'm guessing might look like your yahoo avatar) but I would do a blush (gel maybe) that is peachy- toned or maybe even just plain red, and a very sheer red lip gloss. Um....would you be offended if I said that glitter gold eyeshadow has no place at a casual party? I'm not trying to offend, it's just that it's one of those eyeshadows that really should be reserved for evening gala events.
Instead, try a palette of colors that will highlight your own facial features. Choose a matte eyeshadow color that will bring out the color of your eyes. A casual party invitation implies that no great time and trouble were put into your outfit and makeup.
Of course, any true lady knows that is never the case! The key is being impeccably dressed and groomed without being flashy. Experiment a little bit, try out some new colors that are a little more natural looking.
Go with what you are comfortable in and I'm sure you'll have all the attention you desire.

being a makeup artist what i can suggest is
go for peachy brown blusher
and a nude lipper as in u ll do heavy eye
In your situation I would leave the lips glossy and natural, and just put the lightest hints of pinky blush on, if any at all. The reason is that if you're going to be using gold eyeshadow that's pretty dramatic and eyecatching so I'd leave everything else on my face toned down so that everyone would notice my eyeshadow. Darn it someone already said what I just said, ok here's another tip, you can try going the J. Lo route, [if your skin is in similar condition] by wearing a natural bronzer for the trademark J. Lo glow.
Try translucide powder...I know its not blush but I sue it some times when I go to a party...and for lips try some thats clear but also has a tint color....

neutral blush or bronzer on the warm side(peaches and bronzes with a little iridescent gold flecks might be cute too) then use a subdued red for night affair or a nude pink for your lips. you can also try clear gloss.
