Well I wear all colours. But I would say a brown with a grey or black liner. Brown liner is cool too, but its bleh. Or you could try like a green shimmer of sorts. but a brown shadow with a charcoal smoke would look nice. Or a peach or a soft pink would look nice too. Just play around with it. You will find the right colour for you.

Plums, lavenders, and other purples are the exact opposite of green on the color wheel (color theory), therefore, they will make your eye color pop. Finish with very black mascara for even more contrast.
Shades of brown or purple (lavender, mauve) will bring out the green.

my two sisters have green eyes and they use every color. to make it stand out...my favorites on my them are grey and silver if you know how to mix well. green, both light and dark, a nice shade of blue. black and white or silver with some shine to it...and purple :] if your good at makeup anything will look good, just make sure you rock it well lol =]
You want to play off the opposite of your eye colour. While red is the opposite of green on a pigment pallet, red eye shadow is kind of scary and tends to make people look stoned (or from the Rocky Horror Picture Show).





Use a warm brown (not an ashy brown) and blend in pinks for highlights (there are a lot of eyeshadow pallets out there that come with a brown and a pink in one compact and those colours are sure to match). Use a pink that's close to your skin tone below the brow and under the eye (highlights there make you look more awake and fresh) and use warm brown on the upper lid near the lashes.





Also I'd suggest dark brown eyeliner instead of black.
You'll look best in salmon, pinkish brown, mauve and medium purple shades of eye shadow.
