How do I create a smokey eye but with Gold eyeshadow?

I want to do a dramatic smokey eye but with gold eye shadow instead of black. I have seen it done before but I dont remember where and now I cant find it online. What color eye liner should I use? I saw it done with black but I think that might be a little over the top. Anyone have any ideas for me?How do I create a smokey eye but with Gold eyeshadow?
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

eyeshadow with a dark gold\bronze a lighter gold and then a white/silverish.

black eyeliner.

an eye cream.

black mascara.

a thick eye shadow brush(with bristles not the spongy kind)

a thin one also

okay...

put the cream on ur upper lid with your finger and with the tiny brush put it on ur lower lid right below your eye lashes.

apply eyeliner on ur upper lid and on urlower one (on the water line) right above your lower lashes

put on the darkest eyeshadow using the thick brush on the outer sides of your eyes and use the next lightest color for the middle and the whitish color on the inside even in the very inner corner( i do this with white it makes my eyes stand out so much more.

then with the thinner brush do the same on your lower lid below ur lashes. make sure to BLEND BLEND BLEND.

then CAKE black mascara on your lower and upper lashes.

hope this helps =] its what i do but with darker colors!

How do I create a smokey eye but with Gold eyeshadow?
get like a compact gold eye shadow kit with like 3 different shades of gold eye shadow ranging from bronze to gold to light gold. you should start by applying the light gold all over your eye as a base and in the inner corner of your eye to highlight. next put the medium gold color on your crease and lid. next use the darkest color to put closest to your lash line. you could use a bronze or brown color as liner. finish of the look with a light gloss and a little tint on your cheeks!!!
this is actually a rele good look thats simpler than u think. first start with black or gray eyeshadow around ur eyes. then take some gold eyeshaodw (whatever shade ur prefer) and blend it on to ur lide upto the crease. then blend the grey/black eyeshadow with the gold. this shud create ur gold smoky eye.
black is fine... Line the eye with a charcoal eye pencil and smudge. Sweep shimmery gold shadow across the lid. Use black shadow on the sides. See this tutorial:
take a greyish black and put it over the lids and then put gold over that and then use a brown eyeliner[since you dont like black] and go under your bottom lids and inner lids.and put a very light brown or whit on your brow.
use grey eyeshadow. use the applicator and put it under your lashes and line the upper lashes too. for a smoky look, go all the way to the corner of your eye (inner) and then up, like it doesn't stop. you can then use black eyeliner on the inside of you lower lid if you want, it wont be too much, because the rest is dark grey. i do that with all my lighter colors.
